We were taken to Ben Tre district in The Mekong on a privately tour with Thang as our guide. He was excellent in explaining about everywhere we went. About 1.5 hour drive from HCMC with a stop at a beautiful 'eye' temple then boarded the motorised Sampan at Ben Tre down a main tributary of the Mekong. First stop was a brick factory - actually very interesting- then off down a smaller tributary to a village making coconut candy. We were serenaded by some musicians (they seemed a little disinterested ) but an insight into their culture nonetheless. Next we walked about a kilometre to visit villagers weaving mats etc. Be prepared to buy something small at least as they make so little money from their craft and allowed us to photograph them. We then ride bicycles through more villages and down quiet lanes to our lunch stop in the middle of a coconut farming area and had the most delicious meal of fresh scampi, fish, prawns and Vietnamese dishes- so much beautiful food! A short walk through back lanes of farms brought us back to the Mekong and we boarded small sampans paddle driven by local ladies - a real highlight!!! Back to the main sampan and escorted to our car for the drive back to HCMC. Can highly recommend this tour to an area with very few other tourists and the local villages (although welcoming the tourist trade) seems very unspoilt. I was googling on which agency to use for my trip when I came across Vietnam Travel Top. Huyen always responded promptly to my queries and amended the itinerary to suit our group of 7 seniors. We had our first try at motorcycling and fishing for crabs in coconut boat. Although the weather was hot, we enjoyed ourselves. Huyen messaged me everyday to ensure we have no issue. I've never come across an agent who bother to check on their customers as diligently as Huyen. Our guides were also very professional and knowledgeable. It was a great trip. Will definitely engage their services again when we visit Vietnam in future.

Halong Bay day tour - must book from this company - same as Genesis cruise. I booked the tour with my hotel as they say that the junk offered by them is of good quality. I trusted my hotel guy because i did not want to go and walk around and see the prices offered by travel agents because going to Halong bay - i can see price wars on streets of Hanoi. Guide was ok - nothing that great. His name was Mr. Cuong . Spoke less and gave less info. The bus was clean and very comfortable. Driver was good and drove us less than what we expected. What shocked and surprised the most was the quality of the junk. We had seen hundred of junks around and were worried that we would feel so uncomfortable, but when our junk arrived - it looked like a yacht - a 5 star junk and we felt so happy. Once we arrived, we had seafood lunch which was awesome - first time we are eating something nice in Vietnam. The quality of the cruise is tooooo good to be true and we would recommend. Our tour include seafood lunch and kayaking. Same price as other company but MUST book this company. You will feel so comfortable.

We were extremely lucky to have Kevin as our guide during our time in Sapa, Hanoi and escorting us to Halong Bay. He was extremely knowledgable about the areas we visited with him and had a great sense of humor. We found the prepared schedule tiring and he checked and adapted with us so we didn't miss any highlights but weren't exhausted at the end of each day. He listened to us when we wanted to change things, and after checking with the office, he continued to organise our trip on a personal level. A really fun and interesting trip made made even more special because of the personalization of our tour. Highly recommended.

Vietnam Travel Top Tours planned our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, including hotels and activities. There were two of us on this trip. Everything was excellent and went according to plan. Communication pre and post trip was excellent. Their trips are flexible and Vietnam Travel Top Tours will plan a trip for you to meet your time frame, budget and interests. Myself and 2 sons, 16 & 19, have just returned from 12 days in wonderful Vietnam and arranged by Mr David Tran. As I am not an experienced traveller I decided it was best to arrange our trip by tour. We were extremely well looked after during our entire trip and at no time did I wonder if we were getting met. Like others who have reviewed we were met at all stops by a driver with our name on a board. We did the unusual step and went South to North ending with a lovely cruise in Halong Bay. All hotels stayed in might have been only 3 star but, in my opinion, they were well appointed, very comfortable and staff extremely helpful. Should I be lucky enough to return to this wonderful country I will have no hesitation in booking my trip through Vietnam Travel Top. Vietnam Travel Top Tours did a wonderful job in putting together a three-week tour of Vietnam and Cambodia for my wife and me. We were very satisfied with the hotels in Hanoi, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon, Can Tho, Chau Doc, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, as well as the overnight boat cruise at Ha Long Bay. (The Victoria Hotels in Can Tho, Chau Doc and Siem Reap are associated with Vietnam Travel Top Tours, and were especially fine.) Logistical arrangements were totally smooth and reliable -- a guide, driver and air-conditioned car were there to meet us at every stop along the way, and stayed with us until we moved on to our next destination. The guides were dedicated and knowledgeable, though weak English was a problem in a couple of places. And all this at a reasonable price, far below what U.S. tour agencies charge. Our trip was absolutely amazing and remember memory We never forgot. During our 5 days trip our accommodations were very nice except for one location where we ended up with a room with a barking dog right outside our window and the room in Cruise do not have any complain for that. The food provided during our trip was delicious and gave us a good sense of the Vietnamese cuisine. We truly appreciated that our tour guides did make sure there were not always seafood on our menus since our children do not eat seafood. The sites seen will always be a memory we will cherish and talk about for the rest of our lives.
