Vietnam visa exemption extended for Western European visitors
Vietnam is one of the countries that requires Visa, but seeing the great potential for tourism. In 2015, the government offered visa exemption for 5 Western European countries, including UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. Since then, the number of tourists increased sharply with 720,000 in 2015, 855,000 in 2016, and 1,500,000 in 2017, which is the reason to continue this policy and it is a good news for tourists from these countries that they can enjoy visa exemtion for the next 3 years until June 30, 2021.
Note: The visa exemption is for traveling in Vietnam no more than 15 days. If you want to stay longer, it is nessessary to apply Vietnam visa on arrival or extend your Vietnam visa when in Vietnam (not recommended as it takes long time).
Infrastructure in Hue needs to be improved
Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam and blessed with numerous historial and cultural sites as well as known for the best cuisine. However, Hue is losing tourists because of poor infrastructure, boring tours and its famous cuisine lost the orginal flavour.
Hue is a nice and charming city and Vietnam tour operators are calling for improvements. Let's hope things will change to be better soon.
