Day 1: Hanoi - Night bus to Lao Cai (Meal: No)
Get on sleeper bus from Hanoi Old Quarter at 9.30 pm
ONLY start on Friday night.
Day 2: Lao Cai – Can Cau Saturday Market – Hotel in Bac Ha - Hoang A Tuong palace (Meal: B, L, D)
5.00 am: Pick up at Lao Cai city and transfer (65 km) to the hotel in Bac Ha for storing bags and having breakfast. Continue transferring 22km to Can Cau Saturday Market (well known as buffalo market).
This is a great chance to take many great photos of varied ethnic people, beautiful scenery. You will see hundreds of buffalo and discover how they sell and buy it.
11.30 start to drive back to Bac Ha town for Lunch and check in the room. In the afternoon at 3.30 pm: take a short walk to Hoang A Tuong palace to see a big house of the ethnic king.
After dinner at the local restaurant, you can join Bac Ha Saturday music performance.
Day 3: Bac Ha Sunday market – Pho village – Lao Cai – Bus to Hanoi (Meal: B, L)
8.00 am after breakfast at the hotel, you should go to the Market as soon as possible. In early morning, there is a few tourists, only local people exchanging their goods such as: dog, pig, horse, vegetables, wood and sugar cain… You will explore traditional market of the local tribal peoples including Flower H’mong, Black Zao, Phu La and Tay for the festive market activities where peoples in their best traditional costume gather every Sunday for shopping and socializing.
11.00 back to the hotel for check – out and have a lunch
1.30 pm: Move to Pho Village (H’Mong ethnic people) for a visit
2.30 pm: Bus back to Lao Cai
4.30 pm – 5.00: get on sleeper bus back to Hanoi. Reach Hanoi Old Quarter at about 9.00 pm.
